Pit Community Guidelines

Effective date: July 27, 2026 · Last updated: July 27, 2026

Pit is a social app for traders. People post trade calls, theses, and replies, and other people put real money behind what they read here. These Guidelines explain what belongs on Pit, what gets removed, and what happens to accounts that break the rules. They apply to everything you post or send in the app — posts, trade calls, replies, images, direct messages, your handle, display name, bio, and profile picture — and they form part of our Terms of Service.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

1. Who can be here

2. What is not allowed

2.1 Objectionable content

No nudity or sexual content. No graphic violence or gore. No content involving minors. No hateful, discriminatory, or dehumanizing content targeting people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease.

2.2 Harassment and threats

No targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, sexual harassment, or threats of violence. No encouraging self-harm. No posting another person's private information — real name, address, phone number, email, workplace, or private wallet linkage — without their consent.

2.3 Scams and fake calls

No fabricated entries, exits, sizes, or results. No fake screenshots or doctored PnL. No pumping a position you're quietly exiting into. No "guaranteed returns," signal-group solicitations, paid-DM funnels, giveaway scams, airdrop or seed-phrase phishing, or links to wallet drainers. Never share your seed phrase or private key — not with anyone, and not with us. Pit will never ask for it.

2.4 Impersonation

Don't impersonate another person, trader, project, exchange, or Pit itself, including through your handle, display name, avatar, or bio. Parody and commentary are fine when they're obvious and labeled. Some handles are reserved and held under review before they can post.

2.5 Market manipulation

What gets posted here moves money elsewhere, and manipulation has victims. No coordinated pump-and-dump or ramping schemes, no organized attempts to trigger liquidations, no knowingly false claims about a market, token, or protocol posted to move a price, and no inducement to trade on information you know to be untrue.

2.6 Spam and platform abuse

No bulk, repetitive, or automated posting; no engagement farming, follow churn, or vote/stat manipulation; no unsolicited advertising; no ban evasion with a second account.

2.7 Illegal content and other harms

Nothing unlawful, and nothing that facilitates unlawful activity — including child sexual abuse material (which we remove and report), sale of stolen credentials or accounts, malware, or malicious links.

2.8 Intellectual property

Post what's yours or what you have the right to post. We remove infringing content on valid notice.

3. Trade calls are not financial advice

Nothing on Pit is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and no post is a recommendation from Pit. Traders on Pit are ordinary users, not licensed advisers.

Pit never trades for you. Buying, selling, position management, deposits, and withdrawals are not offered in this version of the App — it does not place, route, or submit any order, and there is no auto-copy or standing subscription to another trader.

The figures in a trade call are typed in by the person who posts it and are not verified by us before publishing. Posting a call lets us monitor the public blockchain activity of the wallet on your account so the claim can be checked against public records. Deleting a post does not delete a resolved call's outcome: the post is replaced with a "removed" placeholder, and the result stays in the record. You cannot delete a losing call out of your win rate, and trying to game the record is a violation of the spam and platform-abuse rules above.

4. Tools you control

Blocking or muting someone doesn't change a call's Copy / Counter / Fade counts — those are a record of what happened. Only the identity disappears from the lists.

5. How we enforce

Automated screening. Images attached to posts are scanned before they're distributed; a flagged image puts the post under review and out of feeds until a human looks at it. Some words and slurs are masked or soft-flagged for review. Automated signals queue a human decision — they are not the final word.

Human review. We review reports and act on offending content — removing it and suspending or banning the account responsible — within 24 hours of a report.

What we can do, roughly in order of severity: remove a post (it's replaced in-place with a "removed" placeholder so threads stay readable); hold a post out of feeds pending review; issue a warning notice to the author; flag an account as an impersonator; suspend an account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days; or ban it permanently. Severe violations — child sexual abuse material, credible threats, wallet-drainer links, coordinated manipulation — skip the ladder and go straight to a ban.

You'll be told. If we act on your content or your account, you get a notice in-app explaining what happened. A suspension shows the reason and the date it lifts; a ban reads as indefinite. Warnings don't lock you out of the app; suspensions and bans gate it.

Reporting to authorities. We report content to law enforcement or the relevant authority where the law requires it.

6. Appeals

If you believe we got it wrong, email support@thepitapp.xyz from the address on your account with your handle and what was actioned. A human reviews the appeal and we reinstate content or accounts we removed in error. You can also report abuse to us directly at that address if you can't or don't want to use the in-app report flow.

Deleting your account is always available to you, including while suspended, from Settings → Legal & Privacy → Delete Account or at https://thepitapp.xyz/account-deletion.

7. Changes

We update these Guidelines as the product and the risks change. Material changes will be announced in-app or by the contact method on your account. Continuing to use Pit after a change means you accept the updated Guidelines.
